I can create aliases for my Dropbox subfolders, but not the parent folder.

I work on a mac and I love the way I can access my files through aliases in a convenient location.  The issue I'm having is some DropBox folders allow me to create an alias on a Mac and some do not. ...

No, not having this issue outside of DropBox.

    also when I click on the camera icon you pointed out it does not allow me to attach a screen shot, it asks me for location, description, dimensions of my image, etc.  not a spot to drag and drop or even a finder path to link to.  maybe it's asking me for code or something?  I don't do code.  and I'm using Chrome for my browser.  Does DB not like Chrome?
