Icon in Menu Missing; Blue Green Icons Missing
Recently upgraded the dropbox app and Mac OS to Sonoma. Dropbox icon is no longer in the top menu unless I have already opened it from the finder window sidebar. Also there are no blue or green icons...

It sounds like you're on the new version of the Dropbox desktop application for Mac OS. You can find out more about the changes involved with the upgrade here.
The new sync icons can be found here.
However, the icon should still appear on the menu bar. Do you have a lot of icons on there? There have been reports that Mac OS hides menu bar icons if there are too many on display at the top.

Ok, I see I have to choose "make available online" if I want the green checkmark to show. I am now seeing the icon in the menu bar. It looks like maybe there wasn't enough space before.

Actually, it's the opposite, if you make files available locally, then you get the green checkmark, otherwise you'd get the cloud with a down arrow icon.
I'm glad to hear you're able to see the Dropbox icon in the menu bar now!

Whoops, I meant make files available offline. Thanks for the help!
