Is there a way for non-Dropbox users to upload files without requiring their name or email?
I often need a place for people to upload files, which I can then download. These people are never Dropbox members – they are external customers of mine.

I'm pretty sure it isnt. Its just sent to you to say 'this is who uploaded what'.
While it can be a pain it is helpful as its used to identify who uploaded what - especially if you have 1 link for multiple people.
