Moving Dropbox folder with terabytes of data on Mac

Device
Mac Studio
Operating System/Browser (if using the web)
MacOs 15.6.1

I spent about 6 hours copying files from my Dropbox folder on external drive "A" to new external drive "B". In the Dropbox app, when I try to change the folder from the old to the new, I get the error "there is already a copy of xxxx" on the new drive and the only option is to cancel.

Other forum posts suggested deleting dropbox app, restarting, and downloading the app again, then try again. I did this and got the same results.

It looks like my only option is to move the files again with the app? "Please wait" for another 6 or so hours? Do the people who design these apps actually use them?

Dropbox was great when it was free. Now that I spend about $3000/yr to TRY to keep my team synced it's been nothing but trouble.

Can you please clarify if you used these steps to move your Dropbox folder or if you followed another procedure?
