Re: I'm getting a "Can't share file" error due to violating Dropbox's Terms of Service.
Hi,
I have the exact same problem. May I also get help?
I definitely have not hit bandwidth/sharing/download limits. I don't think any files contain malware and I don't think any infringe on copyright.
The email on my profile is correct.

Hi Stutra, thanks for bringing this to our attention.
Could you clarify exactly what error message you're getting, and if you received any email regarding this matter?
Have you tried checking all your shared links on this page to ensure there aren't any that are in breach of the Terms of Service?
This will help me to assist further.

The error message:
Can’t share file
Error in call to API function /2/sharing/add_file_member: We’ve suspended your sharing activity because of a violation of Dropbox’s Terms of Service and Acceptable Use Policy, and Terms of Service or Services Agreement. No, I haven't received any email from Dropbox.
I checked my shared links and no issues with any of them. I have also now deleted all the share permissions and tried again, but still broken.

Are you creating a normal shared link or folder on your account, or are you using the Dropbox API to create a shared link?

Just trying to share a single file from the normal web interface.

Thanks for the info, in order to look into this matter in more detail, would it be possible to reach out to the email associated with your forum profile?

Yes, that would be fine.
