Share file to dropbox
When I share file using cellphone to Dropbox from other app, the search bar is gone and I have to open each file to find the file I need. This is really wasting time.

Hi there CharlesZhou - sorry to hear you're having issues with this.
Can you walk me through the exact steps you take to do this?
Also, could you please clarify your device's OS version and the version of the Dropbox mobile app installed there as well?
If you could also send us a screenshot of what's troubling you, I'd appreciate it.
Thanks!

I'm using Apple OS newest version. Years ago, dropbox alwas has a search box to search files when I want to save something. But since couple years ago after the update, I have to open so many files before I can find the destination to save the file.
I hope you can get the search bar feature back.

Hey CharlesZhou, I just checked this on my end; I'm on the latest version of the Dropbox app and I don't have any issues searching files.
Can you send us a screenshot of the Dropbox app, showing that your search bar is missing?
Also, can you open the Dropbox app, tap on "account", then on the gear icon and then on "clear cache", to see if that helps?

HI CharlesZhou, in order to understand what you're seeing, please could you try to create a screenshot and then copy and paste it here, or attach the screenshot when viewing the community from a desktop browser?

There is no search bar, so I have to open each file until I find that level of file.

Okay, so by searching for a file, you mean a folder, is that correct?
Have you tried pulling down to see if the search bar is at the top of the screen?

Top bottom left right, nothing works. - Jay2 years ago
