The files from my file requests are being uploaded to different folders.
Normally you just click a folder, do a file request and it's fine - now they're uploading into totally different folders, why? None of the files are going where I need them to be!

I use a Mac and therefore Dropbox in Finder - increasingly it does not see files, this has been going on for several months. If I go online and look in the browser they're there but they are invisible on the Mac Finder folder for some reason. Software is up to date. I've just reset the folder on the Request File setting but it was already setup correctly. I tested it myself and it uploaded immediately on browser but 10 mins later it still isnt in the folder when I view in Finder. The issues seem to be when I add requests for new people, I've been using DB for over 10 years without issues until probably 6 months ago.
Also - I just noticed the sync is saying everything is renamed - what is that about? Is that to do with this new Mac thing which I havent installed yet?

Do the files have any characters in their name that would prevent them from syncing down to your computer?

Dropbox is creating new folders and storing the files there, not in the parent folder I want them. Yesterday 1 found 2 new folders that had been created with files in - these were nothing to do with me, and at the same time when I found the path and searched in mac finder I could also see a load of other files from 2 months ago that were missing. I still can't work out where those are though because it's some random folder I didnt create.
