Ubuntu 22.04 - Headless - Selective Sync

Hi, I've a headless linux box running ubuntu 22.04 (Jammy)

My dropbox size has exceeded the available space on the machine, and as the machine only uses a single folder in my dropbox (at about 500kb in size) I'd like to only sync that one folder.

Running dropboxd version dropbox-lnx.x86_64-175.4.5569

As far as I can see there is no way to configure dropboxd, am I missing something? Everything I can find points to the desktop app, but this machine has no desktop.

  • Nevermind. I just used rclone instead of the official dropbox client.

Hey Cheezykins, thanks for reaching out to us.

Can you check here, to make sure that you have all the essential requirements to run the headless Dropbox app?

Would the 'exclude' command be helpful in what you'd like to do? You can check out the available commands here.

Let me know how it goes.
