How can I free up space on my Basic account, without affecting my team one?

I have a 'personal' Basic account. I am also a 'Team Member' on a business account.
My Basic account is way over its capacity...I want to see how I can clean up my storage, but make sure I do not mess up the Business Dropbox

Just to add to this and make clear, if you delete the files off your account they WILL also delete for everybody else. You need to unshare whole folders first to avoid this from happening. It isnt possible to unshare subdirectories only.

Hi there, pamelastudios, let's jump right into this!

Based on everything that you described you're using two separate Dropbox accounts. Your Basic and team account should be two different ones.

If you sign into your Basic account online, and visit this page you should be able to see what's taking up space there.

You can then delete your files, or unshare/remove any folders that you no longer need.

If you need something else, or have any other questions please let me know and I will be more than happy to help every step of the way. 🙂
