Regular files refers to the files that you see in your account, as you would expect. Backup refers to the files being saved by the Backup feature, which you can see on your Backups page.

Many thanks Megan for your help. I wish I received such prompt replies to queries in my dealings with other organisations. Can you please let me know what Regular Files (1.2GB) and Backup (1.2 GB) refer to ? The files listed are as I expected.

Hello Theresa, I have used Dropbox for a few years because, for me, it is a convenient & safe cloud storage for important files that I may need to refer to at any time. And it provides security for these files should my PC become faulty.
