My storage remains the same when I remove content. Why?
I want to organize my Dropbox account by removing files I do not need anymore, but the work space does not shrink. Who can help me?

Hi Richplus, keep in mind that deleted files use no quota, therefore if you permanently delete them that wouldn't make a difference.
And I would also suggest following these steps, to check how much space each of your files is taking up, so that you can see if there's a specific one that's filling up your space.
Feel free to send me a screenshot if the space you see calculated still doesn't much the 2.46GB that's occupied in your account.

2 years agoHi Richplus, thanks for the screenshots!
It seems your Backup isn't enabled. As for your storage space, it seems you're currently overquota, and you'd need to bring the space below 2.25GB.
When you delete some of your content, do you notice the space there going down?
Do you have any shared folders taking up space in your account?

Hi Megan,
Yes, two folders are shared. I deleted everything I did not need anymore, but the space didn't shrink at all. I also checked the Deleted items and deleted them there as well. The present folders and files should not take so much space.

The real workspace is now less than 100 MB, but officially I am still using 2,45 GB....
