Out of space even after deleting files

I never enabled it. Why is it there? What will it delete and why won't deleting other files and folders not free up space???
Thank you.
Thank you.

3 years agoHey jillspen, I'd suggest taking a look at this page. This should show you any backups you might have.
If you do not want these files to be backed up, you can delete the backup, by following these steps.
And I would also suggest following these steps, to check how much space each of your files is taking up, so that you can see if there's a specific one that's filling up your space.

I can't find the size anywhere on my regular files. But no one is answering the ultimate question....why is deleting files NOT freeing up space?? What is the backup section for? (Again, no answer to what deleting that does.) If I delete that, isn't that getting rid of my disaster recovery? Even though Dropbox is cloud-based...what happens when I delete my backups?
Thank you.
