Referral ineligible for no apparent reason

Question or Issue
I sent referral invitations to friends and colleagues, three of them registered and installed the app. I'm sure that at least two of them did it on computers where Dropbox had never been installed(the other is not sure) and with new email addresses, but I did not receive the 500 MB for any of the three, and the status of all of them is "ineligible". I read all the conditions for receiving the bonus and they have all been met, so I don't see why I wasn't given it.

Were you on the same network (same external IP address) as your colleague's? If so, that's likely the cause as Dropbox expects to see the referrals sign up from a different network from your own. If that's the case, you can try contacting Support and they may be able to look into it for you.

Otherwise, make sure they've installed Dropbox on a computer that has never had Dropbox installed previously (mobile devices don't count), and that they've verified their email address.

Thank you for the suggestions but:
    - we were not on the same network.
    - for sure 2 of them installed on a computer that has never had Dropbox installed previously(one has doubt about it, maybe already installed by another user on the same computer).
    - the email has been verified, and in any case, if that were the problem, the status would be "Waiting for email verification" as indicated in the link you sent, but instead it says "Ineligible"

That would be reason for a referral to be ineligible. Dropbox can't have been installed on the computer at all, even for a previous user.

Your only option is to try contacting Support, or perhaps a Dropboxer will see this thread when they return on Monday and open a ticket for you.

Yes, but that only happened to one person, while for the other two I see no reason for them to be ineligible.

I hope they will open a ticket also because I haven't found the way to contact them directly for this kind of issue

Hey dansrv, thanks for posting to our Community.

Can you please take a look at this page, which has some common causes and fixes for your issue and let me know if they help?

Thank you, Hannah, but as I said, I already checked and all the conditions have been met:
    - they never used Dropbox
    - they registered using a new email on a different device and network/IP
    - the email has been verified

All of this applies to two people. As mentioned, let's exclude one who probably installed it on a computer where Dropbox had been used by another user.

What other reason could there be?

    Thanks for checking, dansrv.

I just sent you an email, so we can investigate this internally and see what we can find out.

    See you there!
