"Your Dropbox is full" notification but I only have one file in my account
I have deleted all files but one photo on my account. Yet, every day since I still have a notice that my Dropbox is full. And suggesting I upgrade my account. Which I don't need. (MacOS Monterey 12.7...

Hello all, thanks for your suggestions and assistance. I did manage to delete all unnecessary files. And have paid to increase my capacity as may be needed in future. All is good now. I think.

I think Dropbox uses very shady business practices. After years of paying for service and finding it so difficult to use, I decided to downgrade to the basic free account. To get below the 2GB limit, I delete practically everything I had on the account and now have well below 2GB of files/folders on my Dropbox account now. But, I keep getting (for months now) notices that I have over 17GB of storage on my Dropbox account and that they are limiting my use of the account until I upgrade back to a paid account. Obviously, this is a intentional misrepresentation of the facts and appears to be a fraudulent attempt to coerce me into signing back up for a paid account. So disgusting. I'm so glad to be using Microsoft's OneDrive and Google Drive instead for my online storage needs. Dropbox is technically behind the competition and appears to use sleazy tactics to keep people hostage on their platform.

Hey WilburNJ, thanks for the nudge here.
I'm sorry you feel that way; we really appreciate your feedback and I did pass your comments along to our team about this.
However, I'd be happy to investigate this a bit further, if you'd like, so we can see what's happening.
Can you please send me a screenshot of what you see in the Plan page of your account settings here?

I see, thanks for the screenshot, Wilbur.
Can you please use the steps in this article to view the size of your files and folders on our website, to see if we can find what's causing your account to be over-quota?
