Bring back the green 'synced' checkmark in the system tray.
In my Windows system tray (next to the clock), Dropbox used to show that it was fully synced by showing a green check-mark over the Dropbox icon. This was really helpfull.
If Dropbox was offline, it would show no overlay icon.
Recently (and according to Dropbox itsself) this has changed, the Dropbox icon now shows no overlay if it is fully synced, but to me, i constantly think my Dropbox is offline, instead of 'fully synced'.
So the idea is: please bring back the green 'fully synced' checkmark. Or -at least- make it an option to show it.

Please bring back the green 'fully synced' checkmark.
At least make it an option to choose.
I’m a paying customer using Dropbox for years, and I hate the new icon. You have to look at it 3 times to make sure it is fully synced.

I read Adam's note in this thread and even if I can understand his point, I must stay with all other users who really miss the former green checkmark (as well as other variants). I understand this is quite common case in cross-platform applications, yet is a typical case where following the standard imposed on one platform means a stepback on another.
I suggest at least a configuration option should be provided to allow the original checkmark to appear as in past times for Windows users, from a "political" point of view it is like leaving users more freedom vs. forcing a "communist" approach where everybody must adhere to central decisions (otherwise some "political re-education" camp up in Siberia is waiting for us).Apart from joking, PLEASE LET US HAVE BACK THE GREEN CHECKMARK ICON!
Thanks

Please bring back the green tick. It was super helpful. Why you guys want to fix something that is not broken and works perfectly with human beings!!!

The user experience is everything! So please listen to us when we ask for the green check mark to be returned to us! I can't think of any supportable rationale as to why it would be removed. How did that get through user acceptance? Why woulkd I want to use a system which doesn't tell me that it's working ok? I wouldn't, so next time my renewal comes up I may decide to vote with my feet (or credit card).

Let me get this straight. The experience is deficient on some devices, so it should deficient on all devices. So what would be your solution to poverty? Everybody should be poor?

This still sucks. I'm still unhappy and disappointed that I have to do a double-take multiple times a day, thinking something's wrong with my synching.
Which means I have a multiple-times-a-day reminder about how many times I'm really unhappy about this change.I sincerely hope your Marketing and Customer Satisfaction groups realize that all of your customers have this daily reminder about your products.
Run that through the focus groups.

I semi-automated a process to fix it. This works for me, but your system might be different.

Nice job, thanks CSX321. I just have to change the paths to Win10 locations and I think it will work.
