Can I rename the root folder that Dropbox is in on Windows?
I have moved all my Dropbox files to a new SSD in my computer which is on Drive E. I found out the hard way to change the location of the Dropbox folder before moving stuff over. Anyways my questio...

I'm using Windows Explorer to move the folder into E:/DropboxBox from E:/Dropbox, not the Dropbox desktop application. Should I be using that instead? Is that even possible ? 🤔
I tried rebooting, nothing is open, still no luck.

10 months agoYes, you can only move the Dropbox folder from within the Dropbox desktop application, as linked in my earlier post.
Otherwise, this could result in data deletion and other issues if it managed to succeed.
