Hi CMAKEUP, could you try these steps to add the Dropbox folder back into the Locations section?
- Open Finder
- Click Finder in the top-left of your screen
- Click Preferences (macOS 12 or earlier) or Settings… (macOS 13 or later)
- Click the Sidebar tab
- Under Locations, check Cloud Storage
Let me know if this helps.

2 years agoHey CMAKEUP, thanks for the screenshots!
The first screenshot that you sent me is actually from the desktop app's preferences, which answers the question about the location of the Dropbox folder as well.
It does seem like you have the Dropbox for macOS on File Provider version of the app, since your Dropbox folder is located in ~/Library/CloudStorage.
That means that it cannot be moved to your Favorites, which is an expected change with this version of the app.
However, it should appear in Locations; is it not there?
If you simply hover your mouse over the Dropbox icon at the top of your screen, in the menu bar, what do you see?

I cannot get it into Locations via drag and drop. Is there another way?
When I hover over icon it shows "Dropbox 194.4.6267 Up to Date"

Thanks, Corinna.
It should already be there, after the update.
Can you send me a screenshot of the options you see in Locations? (make sure to hide any personal info on the screenshot)
