I'm unable to restore my backup

Hi!

 

I'm trying to restore my backup from my previous pc to a new one.

 

However when I try to restore the backup, Dropbox show this message "Couldn't complete setup" ( I'm going to upload a screenshot  ), and if I click on, "Try again" nothing happens.

 

What should I do to restore my backup?

    Hi there Ivanom - sorry to hear you're having issues with this.

     

    Could you please try to do this through the backups page and let me know if you still get the same results?

     

    Also, is the desktop app installed and running or were you just setting it up?

     

    Let us know more and we'll take it from there.

    Hi Walter, unfortunately the error keeps showing up even when using the link to your backups page. I clicked on "Manage backups" > "Open backup settings". Then the client opened on Windows, but I'm having the same problem

     

    Yes, I am using the desktop app that I downloaded from  https://www.dropbox.com/downloading

    Hi Ivanom, sorry for jumping in.

     

    Can you send me a full screenshot of what you see on your Backups page online, as well? 

     

    I’d also like you to open your backup settings online, and send me a screenshot of what appears there.

    Hi Nancy, where should I go to check the backup settings online? because inside the Backups page online, on the top right, inside the menu "Manage backups" there is a button "Open backup setting" which opens the windows client, not a web page.
