I definitely see where you're coming from. Could you also send me a few screenshots of the behavior you mentioned, in order for me to have a visual too?

I put a red box around the folder link in each of these screenshots.

Current tray pop-up experience (clicking this link only opens the folder as expected):

Here is a link to a screen recording of the bug.

EDIT: I found a workaround: click the ellipsis menu on the right of a file and then click "Show in File Explorer". This opens only the folder as expected.
