The Dropbox overlay icons are missing from our company-managed devices.
Hi,
I am managing a few computers with Microsoft Intune.
When I install Dropbox on managed computers, I always check that everything has synced and that it is on the latest stable Dropbox version...

Ok, so I think I solved the problem.
In Intune you can set Device Restirctions under "Devices -> Windows configuration -> Device restrictions".
In there i hade some App store restrictions, removed the few restrictions i had but kept "Install apps with elevated privileges".
Now the Overlay icons appear as they should! 🎉Screenshot:

Our plan is: Dropbox Standard
Yes, the other team members are experiencing the same behavior.
It seems to work if the computer is not Managed by Microsoft Intune, so it might be a policy/settings problem in Intune.

12 months agoHey AndreasTheMachine, when re-installing the app did you make sure that you've installed with admin privileges?
Everything seems to be pointing towards Microsoft's Intune and how that affects the Dropbox permissions. It might be worth checking with Microsoft too about this, and maybe check how you can whitelist any Dropbox official domains on these devices.
