Windows Defender problem is preventing the Dropbox app from running
I have a problem with the app's Dropbox files on desktop
(The iPhone and the website work fine).
I received this message:
Check your internet connection. microsoft defender smartscreen is not accessible and cannot help you decide if the Dropbox application is allowed to run
so I canceled all the protections, i.e. - Enable the Windows Defender reputation based protection, but the problem was solved for a few days and then ruternd
desktop.
pkease advise....

Hi guy1234, thanks for bringing this to our attention.
As this seems to be an error with Microsoft Defender and its connection to the internet, I'd suggest contacting Microsoft for support directly.
Keep me updated with any progress!

Thanks for the update, it might be worth continuing with the email support for them to investigate this in more detail on their end.
