Cannot install Dash Extension on Brave Browser

I tried to install Dash but to complete the install it asks to Add Extension and when I click on box to do so it does nothing. I'm on MBAir M2 Ventura using Brave Browser 1.52.129

    thanks. I installed directly from chrome store. still unclear about the purpose of the icon other than as a visual reminder that one has given Dash access to browsing?
