Dropbox and Boxcryptor - can't access my Thesis files anymore.

Dear Community, I have a serious problem and hope somebody can help me: I am working since month on my diploma thesis, all files for that stored under Dropbox in a directory encrypted with boxcry...

One more input: If I try to open a Word file with Windoes Editor (should at least show something) I get the following error message, which translates into "A device connected to the system does not work". Looks like trying to retrieve the files through boxcryptor and dropbox leads to "no access"...

Hey KathleenKnickrehm, thanks for the added info!

If you momentarily pause Boxcryptor, are you able to open these files without any issues, or no? What if you try this with Dropbox next?

I'd just like to see how these files behave when none of these apps are accessing them.
