PDF Upload to Dropbox is not allowing Pre-existing fields

We have uploaded a PDF to DropBox and the pre-existing fields we need filled out are static when we send the doc to the recipient.  What are we doing wrong? We do not get the "Pre-Existing Fields" prompt that another user does.

Hi Jac711, thanks for the info, can you try this with a different PDF entirely to see if this helps?

Hi!! Thank you both for your help. We have used this particular PDF form before and it’s worked. It’s a standard contract.

Hi from me too, Jac711! Do you mean that this used to work in the past with Dropbox, or is it the first time you’re uploading this type of PDF to your Dropbox account?

Do you have similar PDFs to test this with? If yes, does the same thing keep happening?

We are using an Adobe PDF fillable form. We have used the form before and it worked fine. We need the fillable sections (some text boxes, check boxes , etc) to transfer in to the Dropbox format.

We start by uploading the PDF, at that point we thought we should get a prompt that says “do you want to use the predefined fields” or something like that, and we would say yes. We don’t get that prompt and the document in DropBox has static fields where they should be fillable.

Hi there Jac711 - sorry to hear you're having issues with this.

Could you please walk us through the exact steps you take to do this and clarify how you're sharing the file with the recipients in the first place?

    Thanks!
