If you mean that you want to use the AUTOSAVE function with Dropbox, sure you can.
However, this does neither apply to Dropbox personal accounts, nor to Office perpetual licenses, nor to Office 365 / Microsoft 365 personal or family subscriptions.
If you want to use the autosave function with Dropbox, you need to be subscribed to both:
- a Dropbox for TEAMS subscription
- an Office 365 or Microsoft 365 BUSINESS license
If you are, then you can add Dropbox for Teams as a connected service of Word (File > Account > Add a Service > Storage).
Once you're done, any directory in your Dropbox for Teams will be an autosave place just like any directory in OneDrive.
You can use autosave not only with OneDrive and Dropbox for Teams, but also with Box, Egnyte, iManage, ShareFile, plus a couple others in beta or preview.
