The admin's subscription expired, and now I can't sign into my team account.

Dear Colleagues

 

I had my personal account and added a team account from some one else whose subscription has expired now I cant login in to my account and its taken me to a fresh account

    Hey there, DRALOKSHARMA74, let's jump right into this! 

    If I understand this right, someone invited you to join their Dropbox team with your personal account that you now have trouble accessing.

    Do you get any specific errors when trying to sign into your account online? How long has this been an issue? Also, have you tried contacting the team's admin by any chance?

    As you are in a Team there is nothing you can do - the Team 'owns' your account, you give it that right when you join the Team. You need to ask the Team admin to remove you from it. If your account is showing a fresh account it sounds like the data has already been removed and so its not recoverable - but again, you need to ask the Team owner about that. Data is wiped from unused team accounts that are over quota (but they get lots and lots of warnings this is happening). 

  • I had my own account and joined a team

    But that had a warning for expiry and I clicked to leave it now I have a fresh account not my old one

    Do you get any errors when trying to sign into the account you used to join the team?

    You can find the support options available on the Support page. Keep in mind that your options might be limited since you're using a Basic account.

    In any case, I'm here to help, in order for us to get to the bottom of this.
