Dropbox Plan Plus Are you a Team Member or Admin? Admin Do you have access to the email linked to the account? Yes Are there any devices connected to your Dropbox account? Have mobile but now logged out. Question or Issue: 25992594 I changed my Gmail account password and was then inadvertently logged out of my Dropbox account both on Desktop and Mobile. I have a new mobile number now so I am not able to receive the 2-factor authorization texts. I never set up any back up emergency log in codes. I don't have an icon installed on my Desktop was just using the web version and mobile version. I've been a paying customer for over 10 years. I have created a ticket but the agent can not help me. I can provide ID, information on my payment method or whatever else is needed to get back in. Much of the work I have in this account will be lost forever as my laptop was stolen. I need access to this account for work. I've had to create a new account to be able to write here. This account is linked to: [Removed as per Community Guidelines]. I am also worried that in addtion to being locked out of my account, I'll continue to be charged for an account I can't access. I can provide the email of the account if allowed.27Views0likes3CommentsI used two-step verification on my account, now I can't log in to the account

(Phone, laptop) Question or Issue I made a dumb error. I decided to try a 2 step authentication app and use it for better security. I lost all access to my dropbox because I had no clue what it was doing I guess. I am using a new basic account just to get on here and try to get help with my other account. I am scared I LOST EVERYTHING. that account is locked out on desktop and my phone app. I made the account last year and never got any kind of emergency code in case of lock out. I did send a message to drop box but based on what I have read here I see some people get help and some don't. Can someone here please give me some advice. also if I Never can get in again how do I ensure that everything gets deleted so no one else will be able to access it?45Views1like4CommentsCan I log in to my account without my authenticator app or backup codes?
Question or Issue I have 2 dropbox accounts. For my second drop box account (where I have a plus plan), I am not able to log in as I am in a loop of verifications that I am unable to do. I do not have the authenticator app, and I don't have my backup codes. Is there no other way to log in? When I contact support they tell me to do a bunch of things that don't exist when you aren't able to log in. Are my files lost? To make matters worse, I pay for drop box and I can't get into my account. There has to be a way to help people who lost their backup codes and whose phone number doesn't seem to be in their profile. I tried to log in on desktop app, phone app etc., but doesn't work as I'm stuck in this loop! Help! Betina41Views0likes2CommentsHow can I protect my Dropbox files, when my laptop needs service?
Dropbox Plan Basic Are you a Team Member or Admin? No Do you have access to the email linked to the account? Yes Are there any devices connected to your Dropbox account? Yes Question or Issue For the first time since I bought my first PC in 1985 or so, I'm having to leave my computer with a tech support company, briefly, and I want to make sure that they can't access any of my files. I plan to move my files to an external drive and remove them from my laptop - but what do I do about my Dropbox files? I currently auto-sync files between my laptop and dropbox's "cloud" - how do I make sure that the tech can't see any of the data in any of my Dropbox files?26Views0likes1CommentCan I see if a connected device has viewed or downloaded a file?
Dropbox Plan Plus Are you a Team Member or Admin? No Do you have access to the email linked to the account? Yes Are there any devices connected to your Dropbox account? Yes Question or Issue 1) Can you see whether a linked device has viewed a file? 2) Does file activity show whether a file has been downloaded? Context: After I separated from my ex-husband, I changed my Dropbox password and checked that folders were not shared with him. I did not realize that two of his devices were still linked, and that Dropbox (unlike every other app I have ever used) would not require devices to sign in with the new password. He recently sent me texts showing that he had access to my files and had viewed some highly personal information and photos. I found the security tab that confirmed two devices were linked and he had accessed my Dropbox. I immediately deleted those devices from my account. However, now I am trying to confirm if he viewed or downloaded anything. Because the devices were linked, Dropbox sees them as "me" so doesn't show another person viewing them. Your help would be greatly appreciated. Feeling pretty vulnerable right now.41Views0likes3CommentsI'm unable to sign in to Dropbox on Android via multiple third-party apps.
Application Affected Apps that use Dropbox like Solid Explorer, Wardencam Device Multiple different Android versions/devices Operating System/Browser (if using the web) Multiple different Android versions Logging into Dropbox through another program (e.g., Solid Explorer, Warden cam, etc.) does not work. Dropbox itself is working, but problems is not that. For example, in the case of Solid Explorer, permission is requested but login fails. Wardencam just gets stuck on login (when selecting Dropbox as the destination). It must be a problem with Dropbox? This is what I've seen in Finland/Europe. I've also tried different, completely independent internet connections/operators. The logged-in app may work*, but if you shut down the aforementioned app, you will no longer be able to log in. * Edit. It seems that there is no access to the Dropbox, so this not really help.Solved475Views1like10Comments
