Hi, I need to reset my password for a Dropbox account but I keep getting this message. I've waited over a day to try to reset it but still no luck. Can someone open a ticket to investigate? I can supply all relevant details. Michael32Views0likes3CommentsI can no longer log in because of the new "games" captcha
I have been using the Dropbox free account for several years now. However, I am currently no longer able to log in to the site because the login puzzle is not working. This cost me a total of 30 minutes of my time. With the best will in the world, I can't afford this waste of time. I will therefore refrain from using Dropbox in the future if no solution is found.198Views1like13CommentsEndless CAPTCHA loop when logging into my Dropbox account on Windows 11
When trying to login to my dropbox account on my Win11 desktop PC I have to make a puzzle. After the puzzle I do get the confirmation that I am actual a human. But it is followed by a toast-message stating: "The CAPTCHA response was not verified successfully, please try again.". I have tried in Chrome, Chrome Incognito, Edge, but all three show the same error-toeast message. I also tried rebooting PC and empty the cache of the browser, but without succes. Suggestions are welcome.13Views0likes1CommentI need my support ticket escalated, since I can't access my account due to an incorrect password.
On 6/7 I contacted customer support regarding an account that I haven’t access since 2015. I recently realized that there are photos of a deceased family member on there that I don’t have anywhere else. After entering my credentials login, second factor code was sent to an email address. I no longer have access to. I reached out to support via email and they were able to verify my identity and temporarily remove the second factor authentication. I was extremely happy to have successfully been able to do this. However, when I went to log into my account, the account is now saying I’m entering the wrong password. I know for 100%, that I am using the correct password. I had the password saved and I only accessed the account for a short time and never change the password. I reached back out to customer service regarding this issue. I feel that it is most likely that my password was reset in 2016 after a data breach. But customer service is telling me that is not the case. Since I am sure, but I am using the right password, the only other logical explanation is that when the customer service representative reset the second factor authentication they messed up something with my password. At this point customer service to give me the runaround that they can’t help me if I don’t have access to the email. From hearing others experiences, I have seen that people have been able to regain access to their account without access to their email after speaking to an “ account security manager”. I have been requesting for a few days now to speak to an account security manager, but the agent said they wouldn’t be able to help me and there’s nothing that they can do. I reached out to dropbox on Facebook messenger and they said that they would note my concerns and have someone reach back out to me. The next day, a different representative reached out to me and provided me with the same disappointing answers the previous representative had provided to me. Even Instagram allows you the opportunity to upload a video and identification to regain access to your account. I fully appreciate that they take peoples memories seriously and don’t hold them hostage to the fullest extent. This is very frustrating because other customers have reported being in the same situation. They have also reported being given the opportunity to reset their password without access to their email (and they were also not logged in anywhere else) after speaking to an account security manager, and verifying their identification with them. As a customer it is very frustrating to see that other users have been given this opportunity and I am not I wonder why I am not being treated the same as other customers?52Views0likes6CommentsI can't log in to Dropbox 'Two-step verification text message can't be sent'

Hello, most of the files I uploaded to a Dropbox account (around 2021) was done when my account was associated with an email that I no longer have access to. I do have a few files in a separate Dropbox account associated with my current, permanent email, but most are in the original account. I'm unable to log into the original account because it sends the code to the non-accessible email. It would be great to be able to link my original Dropbox account to either my current email address, and/or my cell phone number. Thank you for your assistance.50Views0likes3CommentsPlease take NO for an answer to setting up 2-factor authentication.
I am one member in a dropbox family account. It appears almost anytime anyone in the family logs in, after giving the password, this screen appears. That page only allows for TWO responses: "Next" to create 2FA or "Set up later". You need a THIRD option, "No I do not want 2FA". Dropbox killing us with what are effectively denial of service attacks because inexperienced users are clicking on Next and making problems for future attempts to login. Please, please, please: Dropbox take no for an answer and allows us to turn off those constant prompts. We can still turn on 2FA without the prompt if we decide is appropriate. I am well aware 2FA is in many case, a wise security step.. But not always. I have been a computer scientist for over 55 years and that experience includes numerous credentials and a fair amount of expertise in security. Dropbox, you provide the option to NOT use 2FA, stop making it so difficult to exercie that option. Respect you customer. I must leave now, and waste a bunch of time helping another family recover their account to which the 2FA has created a Denial of Sevice attack.67Views0likes2CommentsHacking on my account
