I am a new employee to a company. The previous employee had a dropbox acct on the same computer that I use, however my files are not syncing with the other team members for the company. When I open preferences below is the dropbox folder location which is that of the previous employee. Have mobile but now logged out. Question or Issue: 25992594 I changed my Gmail account password and was then inadvertently logged out of my Dropbox account both on Desktop and Mobile. I have a new mobile number now so I am not able to receive the 2-factor authorization texts. I never set up any back up emergency log in codes. I don't have an icon installed on my Desktop was just using the web version and mobile version. I've been a paying customer for over 10 years. I have created a ticket but the agent can not help me. I can provide ID, information on my payment method or whatever else is needed to get back in. Much of the work I have in this account will be lost forever as my laptop was stolen. (Phone, laptop) Question or Issue I made a dumb error. I decided to try a 2 step authentication app and use it for better security. I lost all access to my dropbox because I had no clue what it was doing I guess. I am using a new basic account just to get on here and try to get help with my other account. I am scared I LOST EVERYTHING. that account is locked out on desktop and my phone app. I made the account last year and never got any kind of emergency code in case of lock out. I did send a message to drop box but based on what I have read here I see some people get help and some don't. Dropbox Plan Basic 2gb I have a brand new Dropbox account with nothing saved in it so completely empty. My employer at work is trying to share with me her work Dropbox account which still has space available. However when I click the link it flashes up that I don't have enough space to access the files. I have a M4 Mac Mini that is using the wrong DropBox account but I can't figure out how to switch it to the correct one. My PC is using the correct one and it is up to date with all files but my Mac Mini will not allow me to change my account. I have followed the directions to sign out of the wrong account but when I am automatically taken to the DropBox website it doesn't allow me to change my account to the correct one. Question or Issue I have 2 dropbox accounts. For my second drop box account (where I have a plus plan), I am not able to log in as I am in a loop of verifications that I am unable to do. I do not have the authenticator app, and I don't have my backup codes. Is there no other way to log in? When I contact support they tell me to do a bunch of things that don't exist when you aren't able to log in. Are my files lost? To make matters worse, I pay for drop box and I can't get into my account. There has to be a way to help people who lost their backup codes and whose phone number doesn't seem to be in their profile.
