How safe is my personal Dropbox account please?

Hi all,   I am completely new to Dropbox. After downloading thousands of photos, I just discovered that Dropbox doesn't have end to end encryption. I am just about to go on holiday for ten days. ...

Hi DanniViolet 

 

Its like any system if I'm honest - its as safe as you and your devices make it. 

 

So, for example, do you have passwords set up to access the devices themselves, have you set passcodes etc. to access the Dropbox app on mobile, is the hard drive on your machine set to use encryption (like most modern OS's can). Then do you have 2 factor security set up etc.

Thank you so much Mark. I didn't realise that you could set up a passcode on the Dropbox app. I will look into that now. As far as the other things that you have mentioned, I will look into that after my holiday. You are dealing with a technophobe! 😂 I don't even know what OS means. I have an Acer laptop which is about 2-3 years old. No idea if I can use encryption. I appreciate your help!
