Dropbox Plan Free Device iMac Operating System/Browser (if using the web) Mac Tahoe 26.3 Dropbox App Version (if using the app) Greetings, As you may have seen elsewhere, I have been having problems with an account that was over the allowable memory limit. That account was 10+ year old personal account. I had added our Club Executive (7 members) to share some of the folders in the account. (We are a non-profit group of motorcycle enthusiasts.) In the end, the best advice was to eliminate all of the team members to see if the problem went away, which it didn't. At that point, I had the legacy personal account and a new account that I had created under a different email address to use with the Executive. Initial testing with the new account looked like everything was working and I could add new team members as I used to be able to do with the Legacy account. Since I wanted to separate from the Club account, from my personal account, I deleted the original legacy account with the intention of rebuilding the new account to serve the Club Executive. Unfortunately, I can no longer add or deleted members from the new account. I get a "not valid email" error when I try. I assume that it is too late to undelete the Legacy account. I see that there is a "free team account" available in Canada, but I have not been able to log on to create a team account. I am a resident of Canada (Halifax Nova Scotia). The only links that I have found are for "Free" trials. Our Club has an annual budget of less than $2500 CDN, so a paid subscription is out of the question. I am at a loss here. I appreciate the help that you and the team have provided so far, I really do!!!! I hope that you can set me straight and let me get back to getting my bike ready for Spring! Thanks Dave G Club Secretary Nova Scotia, CanadaSolved56Views0likes5CommentsI've forgotten my password and I don't have access to the email address associated with my account
I no longer have access to the email address associated with my Dropbox account, and I don't remember my password, but I am connected in the devices listed below. Is there a way for me to change the password or the email address? Device Surface Laptop Operating System/Browser (if using the web) Windows 11 Syncing Status "Up to date" Question or Issue I had two dropbox accounts, one for regular use which is used multiple times daily, one as a kind of addition for a special project. The latter was under a different email address on the Gmail platform. The latter became unnecessary and I deleted it, through Dropbox.com: following the instructions. It seemed to be successful. However it suddenly resurrected itself and started to send me messages that the account was nearly full. I deleted it again. Now after about 4 months and a new laptop it is back again, saying it is nearly full and that I should upgrade! How can I get rid of it forever please.46Views0likes2CommentsAn "Admin" suspended my account. How can I regain access to it?
Hello! I'm logging in using a different email because the one originally connected to Dropbox is "suspended" or "marked inactive". So I'm a freelancer, working with multiple clients. We share files via Dropbox. Now, I ended my contract with this client in January, and somehow she ended up suspending my entire account rather than just removing me. I don't understand how it happened because it's just a shared folder, and now I lost my complete access even though I own the account and have premium subscription. I have told her what to do to restore my account, but she's still not replying, probably because she was busy with her personal errands. Is there anyway you can help?123Views0likes6CommentsCannot log in to my account as I'm not getting the verification code
Dropbox Plan Basic Are you a Team Member or Admin? N/a Do you have access to the email linked to the account? Yes Are there any devices connected to your Dropbox account? Laptop Question or Issue I am unable to log in to my account, as it is asking for a 2 step verification code (which it never used to). It states that it has sent me a code by email, but it is not arriving. I have looked in all email folders including spam and junk65Views0likes2CommentsTwo-factor authentication methods used on my account are no longer accessible and I can't sign in
Dropbox Plan Unsure Are you a Team Member or Admin? Admin Do you have access to the email linked to the account? Yes Question or Issue AT A CROSSROADS with Logging Into My Account. I have been a Dropbox accountholder for over a decade. I have never had an issue logging into my account up until now. I originally established my Dropbox account to store important life artifacts, like old photos of our family, etc. And, thus from time to time over the years when I had the space in a busy life to log in I would update what I wanted to continue to add to the story of our life's treasures. I have been attempting to log into my account over the past week with no success because the two-factor authentication methods are no longer accessible to me. The devices on file are no longer owned. The phone number on my account's file I no longer have access to (my employer issued me that number and I no longer work there). And, the backup codes it is suggesting I access I do not have. I have been going back-and-forth with email support for days now and my experience is the email support team is not comprehending this and keeps repeating their support recommendations, thus I am finding myself repeating the situation now 3 times. I am no closer to getting help with a manual account recovery option. I even offered to provide additional account verification identification. I really need additional escalation and help with this matter. I respect the role in protecting our data. Equally, I am having a difficult time respecting the support experience for a long-standing customer who has spent hours attempting to get adequate assistance that resolves an issue, versus perpetuating the inability to use a service I have invested years into, and I am still currently paying for. Below is the screenshot showing the devices linked to my account that DropBox has on record for me. You will find these haven't been active in the past 5 - 8 years.60Views0likes2CommentsHow can I protect my Dropbox files, when my laptop needs service?
Dropbox Plan Basic Are you a Team Member or Admin? No Do you have access to the email linked to the account? Yes Are there any devices connected to your Dropbox account? Yes Question or Issue For the first time since I bought my first PC in 1985 or so, I'm having to leave my computer with a tech support company, briefly, and I want to make sure that they can't access any of my files. I plan to move my files to an external drive and remove them from my laptop - but what do I do about my Dropbox files? I currently auto-sync files between my laptop and dropbox's "cloud" - how do I make sure that the tech can't see any of the data in any of my Dropbox files?52Views1like2CommentsI have two Dropbox accounts, but haven't used one for a while, can I log in to it?
