There could be an option in Word to prevent users from editing the text, except for the things they need to add in, however I’m not sure if this can be done.

Hopefully you’ll find a solution to your query!

Hi Mark, what type of form are you creating? What is the filetype of the doc?

Is the file located in a shared folder with edit access? Note that a shared link to the file will always be read-only

I am in charge of Talent Acquisition and I want to create a Offer Request Form in drop box that my managers can fill out.  I was thinking a Word document.

A Word document can be used this way, just make sure it’s in a shared folder with edit access for everyone else to access the folder.

They’ll need to have their own Dropbox account in order to access the folder.

If you’re planning on having users edit the Word file using Office Online, instead of via their machines in the Word program, this can be done. Note however that if you’re a member of a Dropbox Business team, you’ll need a license for users to access and edit Word files.

Let me know if this helps!

Thanks so much for the reply.  I just want to make sure they can't edit the document but have fillable fields.  Not even sure this is possible.  Maybe it would be a different document other than Word.
