I'm receiving other people's personal private information via email from Dropbox Fax
I'm receiving random emails by Dropbox fax that are mentioned for other people. The emails contain personal private information. Clearly failing those whom utilitize the app and a clear breach of confidentiality. Dropbox fax should face criminal charges for this. My suggestion, figure it out you dead heads!

Hi @JacobWalling, thanks for bringing this to our attention.
Could you clarify exactly what you're receiving by email? Are you part of a Dropbox Business team by any chance?
Could you attach a screenshot of this, while hiding any names or emails?
This will help me to assist further.
- JacobWalling2 years agoExplorer | Level 3As I had mentioned random Dropbox faxes to and from many fax numbers. The attached are all different people and now I have all their personal information. I don't even want to open them anymore because they never seem to be sent to me. It's a huge security risk and honestly potential lawsuit for all these people if this doesn't stop. I will take action without the solution as well as free fax from now on with Dropbox fax considering the hassle and information i have now. I'll try to send you a direct email, however this app doesn't allow me to send attachments. So if the email I have doesn't work, provide one.

JacobWalling , to attach a screenshot on the forum, you’ll need to click on the following option, right before posting your reply:

However, due to the nature of the issue, I’d suggest logging a ticket with our support team directly via this page. This way, the appropriate team will investigate this further.

They keep sending me Dropbox faxes with other people's personal information. None of these even have my name on them but they have a lot of others and companies that I'm completely unaware of. It's absolutely harmful for Dropbox to allow this to happen. Maybe I should contact all of these people using their faxes, tell them what I know about them and thanks to Dropbox fax I know a lot about them including their health records. Looks like they could do well with a lawsuit don't you say? Plus I'm being harassed by these emails due to the lack of intelligence by the IT.

Thanks for the screenshot; appreciate it.
Did you end up opening a ticket about this? If yes, feel free to send me your ticket number and I’ll leave an internal note for our team to see and review this as soon as possible.
Let me know if you’ve had any issues along the way, though.

Thanks for reporting this. Upon investigation, these faxes were either sent to a wrong number, or the senders intended these faxes for a recipient who previously held this fax number.

Wow. There is no need to be so rude.
Its highly possible somebody has just tapped the wrong info in same as occasionally happens with emails.
