4 years agoHow to share music files with Dropbox
We love hearing how our Dropbox Community use Dropbox and we love hearing stories of people using Dropbox links to share their music with bandmates and fans. We love to see it but we just wanted to share some tips to make sure your next music project goes smoothly.
Use Dropbox Paper to iterate on your art:
It takes time to get your music perfected, and if you want to keep track of all the moving parts, a to-do list in Dropbox Paper can make life easier!
Sharing large audio files with bandmates
Before go live, you may want to share your files for feedback with your team or bandmates, and Dropbox makes it easy. When sharing with another Dropbox user, create a shared link, learn more about those here.
With Dropbox Transfer, you can send files up to 100 GB (or 250 GB with the Creative Tools Add-On) without taking up space in your Dropbox. And even better, the people you share it with will be able to view and download your file—even if they don't have a Dropbox account. I mean, we personally think they should, but anyway.
Get your music video right too
Once the music is finalized, it’s time to get that video finished too. Dropbox Replay makes it easy to share video drafts, share comments, take action on feedback, and finalize your video and audio projects in one place. Don’t worry if you need to send it to a few different folks, browser-based reviews let anyone provide frame-accurate feedback and on-screen markups—no special software or Dropbox account needed. Send video and audio out for review with just a link—no more exporting compressed versions and cluttering your hard drive.
We want to know all about your latest music project - tell us about it in the comments below 😁
