This is a great question that Iâm sure will benefit lots of other group members, so we really appreciate you asking it.
As Rich mentioned, this isnât something Dropbox does, but youâll still be able to share files and folders with your contacts regardless of whether they have a Dropbox account or not.
If youâre using the Dropbox mobile app, and have given the app access to your contacts, Dropbox will suggest contacts when you share something in a dropdown menu. This will change as you start to enter your contactâs name or email address.
You can also manually upload your contacts from Google or Outlook using Dropbox.com. Here's how to do it.
- Click on the grid icon next to your avatar or initials
- Scroll down and select App Center
- Search for Google Calendar or Outlook Calendar and Contacts
- Click on Connect
- Follow the instructions in the pop-up window
Once youâve done this, your Google or Outlook contacts will be synced with your Dropbox account and you will see them appear as suggested contacts when you share something.
Hopefully this will help you to find your contacts a little easier; if thereâs anything else youâre wondering about or you would like us to explain in more detail, just let us know and weâll get back to you shortly đ
