Recap: Jan 28 Dash user series session
Thanks to everyone who joined this weekâs Dash user series session on universal search! If you missed it or want to rewatch, hereâs the recording (itâs only 20 minutes, but if you listen on 2x, you can listen to me sound like a chipmunk as a bonus). Hereâs some quick takeaways: Get answers and content faster by searching with natural language and partial context (like for when you canât remember the file name in any way, shape or form) Quickly pull together everything related to a project (files, links, and chats included) Reduce rework and context loss by keeping project knowledge connected over time (ideal for anyone collaborating on a project with a team) See you at the next session on Feb 25! ~ Angie54Views2likes2CommentsDash Release Notes - January 2026

Based on your feedback and how youâre using Dash every day, weâve been shipping improvements that make Dash faster, smarter, and easier to work with. Below is a quick snapshot of whatâs new and improved, focused on helping you get more value out of Dash with less effort. Letâs jump in! Export to CSV in Protect and Control: Admins can now export Protect and Control data to CSV files, either by selecting specific rows or exporting entire tables with up to 50,000 items. AI model selector : Users can now choose from a selection of up to five AI models for chat and writing tasks, making it easier to select the best model for each specific use case. Youâve seen us share How We Use Dropbox, and weâre continuing our How We Use Dash series, where Dropboxers share how Dash fits into their day-to-day work. Today, weâre featuring Dan Imken, a Technical Program Manager, who shows us how Dash helps him cut through complexity, stay aligned, and focus on what matters most. Weâve shared a few âHow We Use Dashâ stories already, and today weâre excited to feature a new perspective from the marketing world. This time, Liz Mead, a product marketer at Dropbox, shows us how she uses Dash to keep her team fully up to date on marketing materials, product updates, and messaging so that cross-functional partners can move faster and self-serve when they need information. Lizâs workflow is a great example of how Dash can support teams who need to stay aligned across multiple launches, channels, and stakeholders. She leans on two core features to make it all happen: Stacks, which we already mentioned, and Universal search. Have you tried the universal search bar yet? Test it out with something like âShow me our latest messaging for [feature/campaign]â or âFind the newest assets for [project]. I just started using Dropbox for work. I do not have the desktop app/do not want to use the desktop version. I just use the online browser version. However I am so tired of Dash appearing all over the place and popping up trying to get me to use it and I cannot for the life of me find anyway to turn it off. I do not want it trying to "ai teach" me about my own files. I just want it to go away and stop opening side panels while I'm trying to work/find a file I need. I've Googled answers but all I get are solutions for the desktop application version of Dropbox. Please if anyone knows how to turn it off on the browser version of Dropbox, I owe you my mental sanity and well-being. Thank you! If it helps, I use Firefox as my browser.Solved445Views0likes2CommentsWhat Is âDashâ in This Context?
Dropbox Dash â not a crypto. Itâs a tool used for âcontext-aware workâ and knowledge management inside Dropbox. In his LinkedIn post, he says: âHow We Use Dash ⊠context is the real âŠâ â meaning they leverage context (past activity, files, and user behavior) to make Dash smarter.132Views0likes2CommentsHow We Use Dropbox Dash: Featuring Josh Clemm
