Hide folders from Photos tab

I have a lot of photos in my Dropbox, both edited and raw/unedited files. It would be great with the possibility to hide certain folders from the Photos tab so that e.g. all of the unedited raw files doesn't show up in between the final versions. Also, this would allow hiding folders with other image files that you don't want in your photo collection.

This could either be some right-click folder property, or it could be done by adding e.g. a  .dropboxhidephotos file to the folder.

today i learned that dropbox doesn't respect the .nomedia file. fixing this would make me more likely to recommend it to artists, yes!

This is something I've asked, in fact begged for, for years.

The fact that Dropbox shows everything on that tab is an awful security issue and means we cannot store a lot of work information on Dropbox.

Then click the Vote button at the top of the page. That's what counts to bring more visibility to these requests.

    I second this.
I am a photographer and uploads my sessions with an output folder and a capture folder.
As long as there is no possibility of viewing folders of images in a reasonable way (android) I am stuck with photos tab - which is a joke since it shows the unedited raw beside the jpg.
Please Dropbox fix this - this is a huge disappointment/embarrasment when showing your work to clients on the phone. One word - ridiculous!

You used to be able to do this, through the Carousel app, but they eliminated the app and the ability to hide folders from the Photos tab nearly 10 years ago. The comment at the time was that the features in Carousel would, over time, be added into the core product, but that never happened.

Here's hoping that changes, but I doubt it. Aside from photos, my Dropbox is filled with thousands of JPG and PNG files from my Photoshop work, which fill up the Photos tab and make it completely useless. Aside from the fact that it's littered with samples and iterations of that work, due to the number of images displayed it takes about 5 minutes if I want to open a file in preview.

When Dropbox eliminated Carousel they eliminated the only good part of the photo experience in Dropbox.
