When I share a Dropbox link to a folder with photographs, the web link is not optimized for photo viewing on any platform (phone or desktop).
The thumbnails are too small and compressed. And on a phone's web browser, users can swipe through individual photos, but it requires two separate taps, thereby quickly becoming cumbersome.
I am suggesting the idea to have Dropbox photo folders appear as a dynamic, tiled gallery, much like on a dedicated iOS or Android app.
Google Drive's photo gallery is a great example of how to implement such a feature on Dropbox.

I would love this! I was just pondering today if I should build a little web thing that can pull from my Dropbox folders so that I can have a nice gallery display for sharing photos with family. It sort of felt like I was about to do a bunch of work that I’d rather not do, especially when all I want is a simple and friendly gallery display. It would be great if there was an option in Dropbox itself to view the images as a gallery!

Perhaps Dropbox can leverage the gallery they have implemented at http://www.dropbox.com/photos for shared folders.
However, this gallery is still not optimized for photo viewing:- Only square aspect ratios

- Photos are overly compressed
