This is absolutely bonkers that you have to do this task repeatedly for each version, particularly so when your competition in Frame.io does not suffer the same drawback.
There is no valid reason I can think of as to why your file name should not match the most recent version's name.
Please save us editors this mindless repeated work.
Whats so odd is... I feel like it would take MORE programming to NOT automatically take the name of the recent file uploaded 😂
