Community Guidelines

The Dropbox forums are a place for our community to participate and collaborate on answers, solutions, and ideas about the products and services we all love and want to improve. We've created these guidelines to ensure that all Dropbox Community users have a positive and constructive experience. Please also remember that your use of our services, including this Community, is covered by our Terms of Service and Privacy Policy.

The ground rules for participating in a Dropbox Community are:

Help out
Make the community a richer place by sharing your experience and insight. You may have the perfect answer to someone else’s burning question. This is the essence of our community: learning from and helping others.

Build your rep
Build your reputation on the Community by interacting with others, and posting about the things you're passionate. Be yourself and let your personality shine through.

Be yourself
Make yourself worthy of trust. We’re into transparency, honesty, and truth. Don’t misrepresent yourself or lie about your identity, affiliations, or age. Don't register accounts or post content automatically, systematically, or programmatically. This community is based on the contributions of real people who put their reputations on the line. Be one of them.

Stay constructive
Making professional criticisms will foster a healthier conversation and debate without ever attacking people personally. Be empathetic and think twice before hitting the "submit" button. Listen to and respect other members’ opinions. You may not agree with everything and that’s totally fine! Just make sure you keep the conversation relevant to the topic and don’t disrespect members or make personal attacks/judgement on others. We won’t tolerate threatening, harassing, or bullying of other users (including use of profane language).

Respect privacy
Don't post personally identifying or sensitive information like credit card numbers, social security numbers, unlisted contact information or any other information that isn't publicly accessible. Also, don't use our Community to deceive others into giving you their personal information.
Note: Do not share emails, phone numbers or passwords on the forum!

Don’t spam
We encourage ongoing participation but once you've created a thread about a specific issue, don’t create multiple ones on the same subject. Any promotional, commercial, or adult content, nudity, sexually explicit content, profane language, multiple instances of the same post, posts with URLs unrelated to the question, and the transmission of malware, viruses, or anything that may disrupt service or harm others are strictly forbidden.
Note: We will remove or edit any of the above should it slip through our filters!

Be kind
We don't allow the promotion of hatred toward groups of people based on their race or ethnic origin, religion, disability, gender, age, veteran status, or sexual orientation/gender identity.

Thanks for following these guidelines and for helping us make the community a great place for our community. As with any community, it’s up to each of us to create and participate in open conversations that can bring us together. Our hope is that by sharing our passions, opinions, and knowledge, we can grow our community together, to make it wiser and more passionate. Happy posting!

Suggestions

We may use any feedback, comments, or suggestions you provide about Dropbox or our services for any purpose without any obligation to you.

Disclaimer:
