In the ios app on either the iphone or the ipad, at the bottom there is a row : Recents, Files, +, Photos, Offline.
I select "photos". How do I select multiple photos there to move to a folder I have created within Dropbox? At the top right there is the option to select, but the only options I have there are "Delete" and "Share".
I want to select multiple photos to move to folders from this area because as I scroll through the photos, it shows me the month and year and helps me to find the photos I'm looking for.
I assume that when I select "Files" from the bottom menu and go to camera uploads, those are the same photos. The problem is that there is no date indicator as I'm scrolling through thousands of photos so I can't find what I'm looking for.
Hey there,
The Photos tab on the app is only for sharing with other users and not to move files, since photos there could be from any location in your Dropbox account.
However, there is a small workaround in the Files tab which might assist you.
- Tap 'Files'
- Tap the Sort button on top left and choose Sort by Date
- Tap the list icon on top right to view the images much easier by choosing the grid option
- Navigate to your Camera Upload folder (or wherever your photos are stored)
- Tap the ellipsis (...) on the top right and choose Select.
- Select multiple photos and you have the move option there on the bottom right.
If your photos are spread out over different folders, there's no easy way to view them all and move them like above, but if they are all stored in Camera Uploads, this should help you out greatly.
Hope this helps!

Thanks AgentJay! I discovered that workaround after I posted this. Thanks so much for replying! Now I know that's really the best way to do it.
Glad to help, enjoy organizing your photos!

Why do you expect us to use workarounds?
Why do you not create a "Move" function also in the Photos view?
Especially that you are imposing the use of folders instead of albums since the recent changes.
