Syncing with Dropbox is paused when I access my Files app.
I have an iPhone 14 and iPad Air 4th generation. When I go to files app, under Dropbox it shows Syncing with Dropbox paused. This is only happening on my iPad works fine on iPhone. Spoke with Apple and said it’s a Dropbox issue. I have removed Dropbox app and reinstalled it. Signed out and in, reset network settings. Background app refresh is on. I’ll post a pic. Files are loading but still shows syncing paused.
Oh boy, I hope this can help others. I just found out what was holding things up and pausing syncing. The latest update from iOS 26.2 has an app called “PREVIEW.” I just updated my iPad to 26.2 and Dropbox was loaded in this “PREVIEW” app. Once I opened the preview app it ended up fixing the sync issue.

Hi there, Mocharuns, welcome to our Community!
If you open your Dropbox app on your mobile, does everything look normal there?
Also, could you check how much available space you have both in Dropbox, and on your iPad? While you're at it, could you also clarify your device's OS version and the version of the Dropbox mobile app installed there as well?
If I were you, I'd try clearing the cache on both apps and try again. To clear the Dropbox mobile cache, open the app, go to Account > Settings (gear icon), and tap Clear Cache.
Lastly please follow these steps in order to disable Dropbox from the Files app from the Locations tab, and then re-enable it.I'll be waiting for your updates!

Megan,
When I open the dropbox app on my mobile iPad, everything does look normal there.
Storage Dropbox 1.13/ 2 GB
Storage iPad 128 GB of 256 GB
iOS 26.2
Dropbox version 454.2.2
Cleared cache Dropbox and disabled the file from locations then returned it.
It still looks like this

Mocharuns Hello! I came across this exact issue with my iPad and the Files app. I keep getting the arrows in a "circle with an exclamation point in the middle" symbol show up next to where it says Dropbox in the Files app. I opened up the Preview app and it didn't really do anything as it said the same thing on the Preview app. I tried uninstalling the preview app to see if it would help but still no luck. Is there any suggestions you have for resuming the syncing? Any help would be appreciated!

Did you close whatever was in the preview app? As for mine, something was opened in preview and I needed to close it. Also, could a file be opened somewhere else?

Nothing was opened in the preview app and it still said that. And also, if I delete the Preview app could that help or does the app need to be on the iPad?

Yes, you can delete it. If it doesn’t fix anything, then you can reinstall it. I’m not sure what else it could be. I’m sorry. Have you tried calling Apple since it’s an Apple app?
