Why did my Dropbox account suddenly stop opening my srt. files on my iPad Pro? I have a number of srt files of japanese anime transcripts which I used to be able to view and copy from Dropbox, but now I get an error message when I try to view them.

Thanks for the image, generally .srt files aren’t supported for viewing on the Dropbox site or mobile app.

Since they are basically text files, try renaming it to .txt to view the contents, and then rename it back to .srt when done.

Also my ghost says that subs>dubs.

Hi there, what’s the exact error message you’re getting when attempting to preview them in the Dropbox mobile app?

A screenshot of this would help!

Thanks in advance.

Interesting. I was viewing them as srt files for about a year. I’ll try the renaming and see if it works. Thanks!

Also, kudos on the GITS SAC quote.
