Whenver I navigate through my folder, and go to the main drive, the path makes no sense as it is /dropbox/my pc. I deleted dropbox and its still there pls help. How do i remove the dropbox folder and dropbox from the path. its driving me nuts!
that is the /dropbox thing im talking about. i want it removed!!!
You can reset the file path for these folders with the steps below:
- Navigate to the system's Desktop/Downloads/Documents folders via the File Explorer (not the folders in Dropbox).
- Right click the folder and choose "Properties".
- Go to the "Location" tab.
- Choose to reset the default folder path.
If you're having trouble locating these folders, they would be under the path C:/users/[your username]/
If you have any trouble with these steps then please let me know the exact step that you're running into issues. You can send along a screenshot too if relevant.

Hey there TitanxD, let's see what we can do.
Since you've uninstalled the desktop app, have you tried restoring the default folder path via the Windows properties?
Let me know how it goes, thanks!

Can you show me how it works? Link a video maybe that I can follow? Thank you!

You should be able to find the relevant steps by looking it up on the web, but give me a shout if you have any trouble along the way.
Thanks!

I could find steps on how to reset the path for other folders like downloads, and documents. But I couldn't figure out how to do it on the main drive, from which I showed the screenshot earlier.

Thanks for clarifying that TitanxD!
The "My PC" folder doesn't mean that the Dropbox app has backed up the entire computer to Dropbox.
Within this folder, you will see the computer folders that had synced with Dropbox.
Since you mentioned that you already reset the default folder path for Download and Documents, can you move the files from within those folders in Dropbox (Dropbox > My PC > Downloads/Documents), back to the original locations on your computer?
Also, do you have any other folders showing within the "My PC" folder?

Im not sure if you understand. I deleted DropBox, but the file path still mentioned dropbox, and i want to remove that part of the file path, since having dropbox in the file path makes t very hard for me, and my apps to navigate, since II have to do it manually everytime.

Hi yotamr30, could you go to the Dropbox desktop application preferences, and then click on the Account tab. Press Alt+H, and then click 'Reset OS folders locations' to see if this helps?
Keep me updated with any progress!

I have already deleted the drop box application, but there is still a folder named drop box with my desktop, documents and downloads in it...
