Download error coming in for malwares
Hi, Sometimes we are also not able to download malware files which we upload for our product. We are getting following error
409 Conflict b'{"error_summary": "path/restricted_content/...", "...

4 years agoA 'restricted_content' error from /2/files/download means:
restricted_content Void The file cannot be transferred because the content is restricted. For example, sometimes there are legal restrictions due to copyright claims.
If the file is marked restricted like this, you will not be able to use the Dropbox API to download it.

Hi,
Is there any work around to Bypass this restriction or acknowledge and continue download, since this affects the key feature of our product.

No, unfortunately the API does not offer an option to bypass that error.

Hi,
Please let us know why suddenly it started giving this restricted error. We started seeing this error from 9:50 PM Monday 27th September (IST).- Greg-DB4 years ago

It sounds like the file(s) you're referring to were not marked restricted prior to that time.
