Banned for files containing malware
Hello there,
I recently got banned for sharing links with malware, however I know for a fact that the files I'm trying to share do not have malware in them. They are accessibility enhancements for people with vision impairments attempting to utilise digital audio workstation software.
I've been banned for high traffic before, but not once have I purposefully attempted to share malware.
As a user of a free Dropbox account, I can't email Dropbox or open a ticket so how can I get some assistance with this? I'd greatly appreciate any help.
Have a great day
TIA
Thanks for the nudge on this UsoT

Hi there UsoT - sorry to hear about this.
Could you clarify how long have you been getting this error and if you've received an email from Dropbox informing you about this?
Thanks!

Hey there Walter,
Thanks for your speedy response. I have been getting this ever since yesterday when I attempted to share a link to a person who required a file that I had, from Windows notification it says that I am a banned user, and from dropbox.com it said that dropbox is interupting my sharing because I have attempted to share a file containing malware.
I have not received an email from dropbox, however the popup on dropbox.com told me to follow the directions in my email. I've checked since then and have not received any email regarding proceedings I should follow.
Thank you

Hello,
Sorry to drag this out again, but I've just encountered the same issue with my dropbox. I just tried to share a folder with a friend and it was flagged as Malware. There are known false positives when sharing applications coded in this particular programming language but this is the second time in a month.
Could I please have some assistance? Thank you.
