Dropbox API Support & Feedback
Find help with the Dropbox API from other developers.
We've recently started receiving Dropbox Transfer links.
These links are of the form: https://www.dropbox.com/transfer/...
I cannot find a way to get info about these links or download them via the API. Is this supported?
In particular, I would like to be able to:
- Get info about the files in the transfer (filename, size)
- Get content_hash for the files
- Get download links for the files
Hope someone can help.
Thanks for writing this up. Unfortunately, Dropbox currently doesn't offer an API for Dropbox Transfer, but I'll pass this along as a feature request. I can't promise if or when that might be implemented though.
Any news here?
I'm also very interested since otherwise Dropbox Transfer meets all my requirements. However automation via API is most important.
@phbd No, unfortunately I don't have an update on this request right now.
Hey Dropbox,
Any update on API support for Dropbox Transfer?
It would be very helpful for us
@Oppie No, unfortunately I don't have any news on this.
Greg,
Unfortunately it seems Transfer Links are becoming more common across our clients over shared links. Our platform is currently not able to ingest transfer links via the existing API. This is growing support issue for us. Please provide an update about this topic.
@spotloader2 I don't have any news on this feature request unfortunately. I'll follow up if/when I do.
For future reference, it is not necessary to post the same message in multiple threads.
