Storage Space

Hello,
I recenlty created a new free account on Dropbox with my work e-mail in order to start a project in my office. After this account was created, my storage had a capacity of 2 GB. Soon after, my boss submitted the trial version of a Standard plan (the one with a storage of 5 TB) in order to work with a team of 15-20 people to read and write files. My problem is that, even though i was added to the plan via-email invitation, I cannot load nor sincronize any file anymore because I exceeded the limit of 2 GB. If I got this correct, I am using a standard plan with a storage of 2 GB instead of 5 TB.
Am I doing somthing wrong? Did we miss something?
Thanks in advance.
Hi @FulPo
You need to have fully joined that plan so that you are a paid user within it (or trial). So check what www.dropbox.com/account/plan shows. It sounds like you have actually just been added to a shared folder instead which would use your quota and not be a part of the Team

OK, i checked at the link you gave me. As you said, I am using a Dropbox Basic plan with my work account. Can you please help me to finalize the procedure to fully join the plan? Do I have to link the team account "account settings" by logging in with the team credentials?
Hi @FulPo, happy Monday!
You'd need to ask for the admin of the team to invite you to the Business plan, in order for you to be able to join.
You mentioned that this has happened already. Did he invite to the Business team the Dropbox account you're already looking at, or a different one?
Is it possible that you have two different accounts?
Let me know!

Now that I am able to check my email at the office I noticed that, originally, my boss sent me an invitation to modify a folder on dropbox (which is the folder we would like to use for the project with a team of 15-20 people), so he might have just invited me to a shared folder insted of a Standard Plan. If that isn't the way to be invited to the standard plan, then which is the correct way?
I have two accounts (my personal account, which I am only using for this request) and my work account (which I'll be using for the project I mentioned in my original request) that works with my office email. I am using my work account to work with this project, and, if I got this right, as soon as I joined the shared folder with my work account, dropbox synchronized all the files it could from the project folder in the 2 GB storage i had available.
Ok, I managed to join the Standard Program, my boss had to send me a specific invitation. I don't seem to have any other storage problem now.
I just wanted to ask one last thing: when i recived the invitation to join the Standart Plan, I was asked to set the relations between my personal work account and the team account; since I didn't know what to do I decided to link those accounts in order to allow the admin to log into my wokr account and see the folders kept there. How can I separate my work account from the team, in order to forbid the admin to log in and see my files and still be able to work in the team? I don't have any private file in my account, since it has been made for work, but if I'll ever use it to store personal data I'd like to keep them apart.
Thank you for your support.

The team admin would need to convert your account back to an individual account. This would remove you from the Business Standard account and the account would be private.
