Why I can not join my other share folders

Why I can not join my other share folders

Hi everyone,

Hope this message finds you well. Actually, I got trouble joining my head leader's share folders. He himself is a PLUS plan user, and I am a basic plan user. I choose a selective synchronization function. But I still can not join his share folder because of a lack of storage space.  In fact, I do not use Dropbox personally, I only use Dropbox at work. So I do not think I have the need to subscribe to a PLUS plan.

What should I do to solve this problem? I need to join my head leader's share folders with my basic plan, and I do not need the files of his share folder saved in my Dropbox and PC.

Hi @KKKKKKKKK1, thanks for messaging the Community!

As you've discovered, a shared folder takes up quota for every member of that folder.

As it sounds like it's greater than your quota, you'll need to increase your quota by earning more free space, or by purchasing a subscription.

If you have any further queries, feel free to message back.
