No option to share folder with editing permissions
My colleague has a pro account and is trying to share a folder with me, but she only gets the option to share a viewable copy, not editable.

Hi Alison12345, keep in mind that there's no way to share a folder that already contains a shared folder.
That could be the culprit of your problem. If you'd like to give them read-write access to the parent folder instead, you can unshare the subfolder, and then share the parent folder.

Can you try doing it at the website instead? Does that work?
Are you in a Business Plan? Have you checked with Admin to see if sharing is disabled on your account

She has a pro account
Yes have tried website - doesn't work
She can share other folders, just not the one we need to share access to. It is a large project file with nested folders

Hey silvi3, thanks for the info and the screenshots!
Is it possible that the folder your colleague is trying to share, contains other folders that are already shared with other people?
If that's the case, she won't be able to share that folder with edit permissions.
See this article for more info and workarounds.
