Account Access
1793 TopicsHow to log into my account and where are my files?
I want to resolve this? I see two things. 1. How do I login to my account? It asked me to create a new account with my previous email on file so it can say there is already an account associated... 2. I want to locate deleted files or files that were inside my dropbox that were there some years ago. I did not erase them. I see they were not there were I had them. 3. In the future I would not post this to the community, so I have only shown the last four of each...31Views0likes1CommentStop syncing to a computer I no longer have access to.
Most of my Dropbox files are synced to my home computer. I've recently ended a personal relationship with which some of my Dropbox Folders were Selectively Synced to that person's computer. I can't seem to figure out from my Dropbox Account how and where to go to stop their computer from having access to those selectively synced folders from their computer since I no longer have access to uninstall the desktop App/account on their laptop. Any advice would be helpful.9Views0likes1CommentA user can't verify their email in order share files on their account
Dear Support, I have a customer who is experiencing issues accessing the "Shared" folder in Dropbox. He is presented with a prompt that says "Confirm your email" along with a button labeled "Send confirmation email." After clicking the button, he receives an email with a "Verify your email" button. However, when he clicks this button, he is redirected back to the Dropbox homepage, and nothing has changed. If he navigates to the "Shared" section again, the same message, "Confirm your email," appears. Also when he trys to share a Dropbox file as link he is meet by the prompt "You cannot share until you have confirmed your email address." I would appreciate your assistance in resolving this issue.19Views0likes4CommentsCan no longer access my old email and cannot log in. How to cancel my subscription?
A Dropbox account was created under my previous work email. I no longer have access to this email and can no longer log into this account under my email (asking for a code via email). How can I cancel this subscription? Who do I contact for help? I tried submitting help through my new work email (which upon login, says that dropbox has emailed me a code, but also have not received the code via email). Very frustrated...12Views0likes1CommentI need to access my Dropbox account, but the one-time code is sent to an inaccessible email.
Yesterday, my time from 8:00, my computer was encrypted. I have two files on DropBox that I cannot function without. I remember the password to DropBox (the account was created around 2009). Unfortunately, for some time DropBox has introduced that in order to get to the account, you have to enter a code that was sent to the email. The email account was also created around 2009 and since then I have never logged in again (I am not sure about the password to the email). It seems that the email account has been disabled due to the lack of login. I wrote to the provovedar but contact with the service is difficult. How can I download two files from my account. I know their name, date. I have access to all files but they are encrypted. One folder was shared with another user but these two files that are important to me are not there. Please help me gain access to these files (these are ZIP files, a database copy of my program).51Views0likes7CommentsHow can I sign into a different account on the Dropbox desktop app on Mac?
Hi, I have two accounts: one is the basic plan with a single email, and the other is an upgraded account, but for some reason, it’s linked to a different email address. I accidentally connected the basic account to Finder on my Mac, and now I can’t seem to switch it. I’ve logged into the upgraded account and downloaded the installer multiple times, but it always reverts to the basic account. I’ve also tried linking the accounts without success. At this point, I feel like I must be missing a step and could really use some help to resolve this. Thank you so much Renee15Views0likes1CommentIt's impossible to access my account due to the verification not being received.
I've had some Dropbox accounts and recently I've tried to acess them but I'm facing problems trying to do this, because the verification emails are not being sent, I don't know why.. I need an answer or instructions.. my Gmail accounts are working normally, I guess the problem is your server.57Views0likes9CommentsRunning out of storage and changing owner of account
Need help. I’m getting messages I’m running out of space. I’d like to fix, however. I think I have a unique problem and cannot contact Dropbox for ‘support’ (ha). I’m a part of a group, a church group … just a few of us. Two problems: 1 – our ‘owner’ of the account passed away. How do we switch the administrator to me? I can have our church treasurer send an email verifying the person’s death. I do not feel comfortable asking the deceased’s husband for a death certificate. 2 – If I purchase the upgrade prior to being ‘owner’, will the upgrade go to all others in the group?14Views0likes1CommentHow to cancel a subscription if I cannot access to my email address
Dropbox keeps charging me on the account that I no longer use (I used the company email address to register to Dropbox a couple of years ago but now I have left the firm and I no longer have access to the email. I believe the email is no longer available too). What is worse is that I have no access to the registered email address and when I tried to log in using that email address, Dropbox sent a verification email to that inaccessible email address and I cannot verify myself and cannot log in to unsubscribe the service. What should I do? I am thinking about canceling my credit card to avoid this stupid loop. I want to talk with customer support directly but they say that I need to be a paid subscriber of which I cannot log in. What should I do? Need help ASAP.38Views0likes3Comments
